Our Mission
Our mission is to disciple young men and women to follow in the way established by the Word of God, exemplified in the life of Jesus Christ. We believe that all of life’s successes, academic and otherwise, stem from the development of a dynamic relationship with God and an enduring reliance on His plan for one’s life. Our approach to developing this relationship rests upon the three pillars of character, community, and world vision.
Character – We believe that true education begins with character. As a result of making character a priority, we are able to train our students academically with a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, secure in the knowledge that their skills rest upon a foundation personal of integrity and that they are equipped to work wholeheartedly at whatever task they are required to complete.
Community – We strive to give our students a vision of their lives within the larger context of family and community. We believe that the nuclear family provides the greatest arena for learning and personal growth, and so we make every effort to promote the parent-student relationship. We also seek to provide a welcoming community of students, parents, teachers, and staff dedicated to helping one another succeed and fulfill God’s plan for their lives.
World Vision – Our vision for discipling young people in the Word of God is global. The LCA is part of an international group of families and churches, and we endeavor to instill in our students a broad perspective that sees beyond themselves to the opportunities, relationships and needs of others around the world. Yearly trips throughout the United States and abroad help our students develop this global perspective.
